Lawson, Thomas have strong showings against UK, UL

Russell County natives Nathan Lawson and Hunter Thomas had strong showings for their respective schools last night.

Lawson got the start on the mound for Eastern Kentucky in their matchup against the University of Kentucky. Lawson pitched three innings, giving up 1 run on 2 hits and striking out a pair of batters.

Thomas had a pair of hits for his Morehead State squad, including a three-run home run. That was the 7th home run of the season for Thomas.
