The Irvin Schoolhouse was recognized at this week’s fiscal court meeting.

The schoolhouse was recognized as a Country School Association of America Landmark Schoolhouse.

Irvin Schoolhouse is a historic one-room schoolhouse built in rural Russell County, Kentucky in 1925.

A plaque was presented to those involved with the preservation of the schoolhouse.
