The Russell County Laker Basketball team fell in its regular season finale to Pulaski County Friday night by a score of 70-69 in overtime.
Mayes Gosser led Russell County with 18 points, followed by Owen Loy with 17, and Maddox Shearer with 12.
The Lakers will begin postseason play on Tuesday, taking on the host Cumberland County in the 16th District Tournament.
Russell County vs Cumberland County will be the second game Tuesday night, with tip-off scheduled for approximately 7:30 p.m. at Cumberland County High School.
