Russell County split a district doubleheader at Clinton County last night, with the Lady Lakers picking up a win and the Lakers falling to the Bulldogs.
In the first game, the Lady Lakers came out on top 43-37.
Karley Luttrell and Aniyah Coffey led Russell County with 10 points each in the win.
The Lakers fell in the nightcap to the Bulldogs by a score of 72-57.
Owen Loy led the Lakers with 20 points, followed by Dylan Stanelle with 11.
Both teams are back in action tonight in a doubleheader at Laker Gym. The Lady Lakers take on Casey County, with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 this evening.
The Lakers will play a district game in the nightcap, taking on Monroe County.
