At last month’s fiscal court meeting, the topic of a memorial for Deputy Josh Phipps was brought up by Sheriff Derek Polston.
Judge Executive Randy Marcum was on Community Conversations on WJRS yesterday, and said he’s floated the idea of naming the park in progress at Greasy Creek in Phipps’ memory, but nothing is set in stone.
The topic is likely to be discussed at next week’s fiscal court meeting.
