Voter turnout locally just over 62 percent

Voter turnout for this year’s general election in Russell County came in at just over 62 percent according to election officials.

Voter turnout was at 62.3 percent, the same turnout as the 2020 general election.

Voter turnout in Russell County exceeded 2016, when turnout was just under 60 percent.

According to the Kentucky Board of Elections, the turnout for the 2024 and 2020 elections has been the highest in Russell County for an election with a presidential race since the 1992 general election.
