Trump, Comer carry Russell County by wide margins

Following statewide and congressional district trends, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and incumbent Republican Representative James Comer carried Russell County by wide margins.

Trump won 86 percent of the vote in Russell County, totaling more than 7,600 votes compared to 1,200 votes in Russell County for the Democrat candidate Kamala Harris.

In the 1st Congressional District race, incumbent Republican James Comer easily carried Russell County, earning 88 percent of the vote compared to 12 percent for the Democrat candidate Erin Marshall.

Trump won 65 percent of the vote in Kentucky and Comer won each county in the 1st Congressional District en route to picking up 75 percent of the vote.
