Two inmates who escaped from Blackburn Correctional Complex, in Lexington last week, one of whom was from Russell County, were captured over the weekend.
38-year-old Adam Ball, from Russell County, was apprehended Friday night and lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center. He faces an additional charge of escape – second degree.
Ball, along with 40-year-old Bradley Cornwell of Georgetown, escaped together in a water truck last Sunday. Cornwell was apprehended and lodged in the Bourbon County Detention Center yesterday.
Prior to the escape, Ball was serving time for a conviction in Nelson County for complicity to theft by unlawful taking and convictions in Jefferson County for receiving stolen property, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, and criminal mischief.
