An Edmonton man died as the result of a collision with a deer on Highway 70 this morning in the Mannsville community of Taylor County.
According to Kentucky State Police, the collision occurred just before 6 a.m. local time when a 2001 Chevy Cavalier operated by 62-year-old Larry Wicker of Elkhart collided with a deer. The collision sent the deer airborne and into a 2002 Freightliner operated by 75-year-old Rocky Morrison of Edmonton, who was traveling in the opposite lane.
Morrison was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Taylor County Coroner. Wicker was not injured during the collision.
Kentucky State Police is continuing the investigation.
