While there has been a lot of focus on this year’s presidential race, voters in Russell Springs and Jamestown will be voting for city council candidates during this year’s election.
In Russell Springs, eight candidates are contending for six seats on the city council.
Five incumbents are seeking re-election. Those incumbent candidates are Ricky Barnes, David Blakey, Sherry Bottom Daniel, Timmy Hudson, and Cody Wilson. Three challengers are also seeking seats on the council. Those candidates are Roger Collins, Gary Frost, and Lance Huckaby.

In Jamestown, five incumbent candidates are seeking a seat on the council. Those candidates are Barry Coffey, Mitchell Marcum, William Murray, Dwight Richards, and Tony Wright. Two write-in candidates are also seeking a seat on the council. They are Teresa Gail Robertson and Duchie Clay.
