A Russell Springs woman was transported to the PHI Air Medical station in Somerset after she was reportedly struck by a vehicle Thursday morning.
According to Russell Springs Police, the incident occurred near the Russell Springs Post Office on Main Street just before 10:15 yesterday morning. Police say 30-year-old Mariah Hubbard of Russell Springs was exiting the parking lot of the post office in a 2020 Lincoln Corsair when she struck 84-year-old Faye Garner Harris of Russell Springs.
According to police, Harris was walking to the post office from her vehicle when the accident occurred.
She was transported by Russell County EMS to the PHI Air Medical station in Somerset for treatment of multiple injuries. She was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment.
The accident was investigated by Russell Springs Police Lieutenant Bobby Pritchard. Russell Springs Police were assisted on scene by members of the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Russell County EMS.
