The Laker Football team returns to action tomorrow night as they go on the road to Hodgenville for a matchup with LaRue County in the regular season finale.
The Lakers enter tomorrow’s matchup at 4-5 to take on the Hawks, who enter at 0-9.
At the conclusion of tomorrow night’s games, we’ll have a clearer picture of Russell County’s opponent in the postseason. The Lakers are in a three-way tie with Taylor County and Wayne County in the district, so the results of tomorrow’s games will determine playoff seeding.
The most likely scenario is that Russell County will be the 4-seed and go on the road to face Corbin in the first round of the playoffs, but that could change depending on the results of Taylor County’s game vs. Green County tomorrow as well as Wayne County’s game against North Laurel.
