The Lady Laker Soccer team came away with a shutout win in the regular season finale last night, defeating McCreary Central 10-0 as the game was called at halftime due to the mercy rule.
Addison Coffey and Jasmine Bennett each scored a pair of goals for Russell County. Several other Lady Lakers made their mark in the scoring column, as Bella Blakey, Macy Mason, Madison Bennett, Carly Shearer, Lexxus Evans, and Madison Weisbrodt each scored a goal, and Weisbrodt recorded an assist as well.
Liz Evans had a save in the shutout win.
The JV team picked up a 1-0 victory, with Mercedes Sanchez scoring the lone goal on an assist from Jayde Lawless. Jasmine Rowe had 3 saves as goalkeeper.
The Lady Lakers wrap up the regular season with a record of 12-1-2.
The Lady Lakers will play in the 16th District Tournament tomorrow. The Lakers will take on the winner of Monroe County and Clinton County.
