The Jamestown City Council met last night, giving final approval to a lowering of the city’s tax rate.

The council approved lowering the rate from 14.2 cents per $100 to 13.7 cents.

The council also approved the purchase of new tasers for the city’s police officers.

Saturday will also likely be the last Marketplace in Jamestown for the season.
