Adair County opts out of medical cannabis

The Adair County Fiscal Court voted to approve an ordinance that would prohibit medical cannabis operations within the county at its most recent meeting.

The Adair Fiscal Court voted to approve the ordinance with magistrate Terry Hadley and judge executive Larry Russell Bryant voting in opposition.

The fiscal court followed the Columbia City Council, which also opted out on medical cannabis.

In Russell County, both Russell Springs and Jamestown have approved medical cannabis operations, while the county opted out.
