Two people were taken to Russell County Hospital for treatment of injuries following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 127 and the Cumberland Parkway Monday morning.
Russell Springs Police say the collision occurred at around 8:15 Monday morning. Police say 44-year-old Julia Snellen was operating a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse turning off the eastbound exit ramp on South 127 when she turned left into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado operated by 60-year-old Travis Waddle of Russell Springs.
Snellen’s vehicle collided with the front of Waddle’s vehicle, which was traveling south on 127.
Snellen was checked out at Russell County Hospital for treatment of a head injury.
Waddle was transported to the hospital for back and shoulder injuries.
Officer Vance Davis is the investigating officer for Russell Springs Police. He was assisted on scene by the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Russell County EMS.
