Russell County man arrested in Cumberland County following traffic stop

A Russell County man was arrested in Cumberland County following a traffic stop by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.

Ashley Dale Coffey, age 44, was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with possession of a controlled substance first degree – third or more offense, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, failure to produce an insurance card, reckless driving, and possession of a prescription controlled substance not in the proper container.

Coffey was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
