The Russell County High School Lady Laker Soccer team was victorious last night.
The Lady Laker Soccer team went on the road for a district matchup with Monroe County, picking up an 8-0 win.
Addison Coffey scored 7 goals for the Lady Lakers, while Madison Weisbrodt scored a goal and finished with an assist. Goalkeeper Liz Evans had 4 saves in the shutout win, as the Lady Lakers improve to 5-1-1 on the season.
The JV team also picked up a win with a final score of 7-2.
Jayde Lawless scored 4 goals, Ferrah Polston scored 2, and Mercedes Sanchez added another. Lawless and Polston each added an assist as well, and Jasmine Rowe finished with 5 saves.
The middle school football team had a come-from-behind victory against Campbellsville at home last night.
The Lakers trailed 12-0 at halftime, but came back to win 16-12.
The middle school Lady Laker Basketball team came away with a win in 1 of 3 games against Green County last night.
The 7th grade team came away with a 45-14 win, while 6th grade fell just short by a score of 30-27 and 8th grade fell 38-24.
