Laker Football & Lady Laker Volleyball drop close contests

The Laker Football and Lady Laker Volleyball teams dropped close contests last night.

The Laker Football team went on the road to East Jessamine for a rare Thursday night game. The Lakers held a 21-9 lead at one point, but East Jessamine came back and scored the winning touchdown with less than 30 seconds left on the clock to pick up the 30-28 win.

The Lakers are now 3-3 on the season, and will host Taylor County in a district matchup next Friday night.

The Lady Laker Volleyball team hosted Adair County last night, with the varsity team falling by a score of 2-1 against the Lady Indians.

The Russell County JV and Freshman teams came away with victories over the Lady Indians.

The Lady Lakers will be back at home Monday for a district matchup with Metcalfe County. That will be senior night for the Lady Lakers.
