Lake Cumberland Cleanup still scheduled for this weekend

Despite forecasts of heavy rain and winds entering the area this weekend, the National Public Lands Day Lake Cumberland Cleanup will be moving forward as scheduled on Saturday.

Groups and volunteers are encouraged to participate between 8 a.m. and noon.

Locations in Russell County include Lake Cumberland State Resort Park and Halcomb’s Landing.

Cleanup activities will be delayed 30 minutes following the occurrence of lighting/thunder.
