The Russell County Lady Laker Volleyball team came away as champions of the Battle in the Barrens tournament over the weekend.
The Lady Lakers went 4-0 in the event, picking up victories over 4th Region opponents Glasgow and Franklin-Simpson, along with wins over LaRue County and Edmonson County.
The Lady Lakers play at home tonight, hosting Cumberland County in a 16th District matchup. Freshman, JV, and varsity teams will be in action, getting underway at 5 p.m.
