Lady Laker teams victorious in Tuesday action

The Russell County Lady Laker Volleyball, Soccer, and middle school basketball teams were victorious in action last night.

The Lady Laker Volleyball team went on the road for a district matchup at Metcalfe County where they came away with a 3-0 victory, improving their district record to 3-0 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Lady Laker Soccer team was at home last night, picking up an 8-1 win over Clinton County in a district matchup. Addison Coffey scored 4 goals for the Lady Lakers, while Madison Weisbrodt, Adriana Thomas, Gracie Burke, and Bella Blakey each finished with a goal. Weisbrodt finished with 1 assist.

The Lady Laker JV team won 5-0 over the Lady Bulldogs. Jayde Lawless finished with 2 goals and an assist. Mercedes Sanchez added two goals as well, and Jorja Branham added another.

The middle school Lady Laker basketball teams were at home last night, picking up victories in 2 of 3 games against Casey County. The 8th grade team won 38-22 and 7th grade won 33-28. The 6th grade team came up short by a score of 46-18.
