Lady Laker Golf finishes 3rd at region

The Russell County Lady Laker Golf team finished 3rd at the region tournament on Wednesday.

The Lady Lakers shot a team score of 355, a season-best for the Lady Lakers.

Carly Shearer and Carleen Meyers led the Lady Lakers, shooting an 81 and 84, both personal bests and good enough to qualify for state.

Catherine Wright shot a 91, Karly Stapp shot a 99 and Addison Hopper shot a 107.

Shearer and Meyers will move on to state next week in Hopkinsville.
