Apprentice students in the Russell County Schools Project Navigate program have earned more than $200,000, according to the latest report.
Mick Slone, who is over the program for Russell County Schools, reported at last week’s board of education meeting that apprentice students in the program, which includes electricians, healthcare workers, and information technology, have earned more than $200,000. Through the program, employers have been reimbursed more than $21,000.
Slone said students interested in joining the apprenticeship program can visit him at the Lake Cumberland Regional College and Workforce Center or talk to their teachers about it.
