There has been another resignation of a notable county official in neighboring Adair County.
Yesterday, Adair County Emergency Management Director Mike Keltner announced his resignation, which will be effective October 4.
Two deputies in the Adair Emergency Management Office, Chad Wheet and Tracy McCarol, also submitted their resignation letters yesterday.
Keltner served as Adair County’s Emergency Management Director for nearly a decade. He also served as the county’s search and rescue coordinator, floodplain manager, and chair of the Local Emergency Planning Committee.
Earlier this month, Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman announced he will be retiring October 1, and Adair County Coroner Roger Huckaby announced his resignation as well.
