The Adair County School District canceled classes this morning after students were already on buses.
Adair County Schools Superintendent Jason Faulkner said school officials learned of the threats at 6:15 this morning, and didn’t have time to do a full investigation to determine the validity of the threat with students already on buses headed to school, so he made the decision to cancel classes for the day.
A threat was reportedly made, specifically mentioning Adair County, with a photo showing a handgun.
The district has been working with local and state law enforcement to determine the origin of the threat, and pursue legal charges against the individual involved.
