Russell County Hospital CEO Scott Thompson said the hospital is excited about the recent launch of a new system that allows patients to pay clinic copays on their phone.
However, Thompson said the hospital is apologizing after a recent billing issue with the system caused several duplicate bills to go out to patients.
Thompson explained the issue following this week’s hospital board meeting.
Thompson said the hospital learned how to address the issue and is excited about this new system, which has been in the works for quite some time.
