Lakers fall to Warren East

The Laker Baseball team dropped last night’s contest to Warren East by a score of 9-2.

The Lakers finished with just 5 hits on the night, with Trace Stringer finishing with 3 and Mayes Gosser with 2.

Jack Shearer and Owen Loy each drove in a run for the Lakers.

Adam Walters got the start on the mound for the Lakers, pitching 1 1/3 innings, giving up 5 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits. Alden Brumley entered in relief, pitching 3 innings and giving up 3 runs on 4 hits while striking out 4. Walker Stephens pitched 2 2/3 innings, giving up 1 run on a pair of hits and striking out 2.

The Lakers are back in action tonight, going on the road for a matchup with Barren County. That game is scheduled to get underway at 5:30 this evening.
