Around 500 customers remain without power in Russell County, according to data from South Kentucky RECC.
The power outages stem from storms that came through the area late Sunday night and early Saturday morning.
At its peak, South Kentucky RECC was reporting more than 18,000 outages including more than 1,500 in Russell County.
The area cooperative said it is continuing to work to address power outages and was able to make a lot of progress yesterday, but broken poles, downed lines, and trees on power lines have made restoring power difficult.
Aid crews from Alabama and Mississippi have also been called in to help with the outages.
