The Russell County Middle School Softball team defeated Hart County yesterday by a score of 17-2 in three innings.
Kinsley Wilson and Olivia Robertson each hit home runs in the victory. Robertson finished the game with 4 RBI and Lilian Davis had a team-high 3 hits.
Allie Bailey picked up the win pitching, giving up just 2 runs with one hit and striking out 6.
The middle school baseball team was also in action last night, going on the road to pick up an 8-1 victory over Metcalfe County.
Brody Terry had a team-high 3 RBI and Raylan McAninch drove in a pair of runs as well.
Terry picked up the win on the mound, giving up no hits with one run and striking out 4.
The Lakers picked up a 6-1 victory in the B game as well.
