As Russell County Little League baseball players prepared to take the field at Russell Springs City Park yesterday evening, they did so at the newly-renovated First National Bank Field.
The city has been working for months to renovate the field at the top of the hill with new turf, paving, and more, and yesterday, Charlene Harris from First National Bank of Russell Springs joined city officials at the park to throw out the first pitch before a little league game.
WJRS News caught up with Harris to talk about the bank’s involvement in the project, and her view of the importance of being involved in the community.
Mayor Eddie Thomas also recognized the city employees for their hard work in the renovation project.
