Adair man arrested for stabbing incident in Eli/Salem area

An Adair County man was arrested following a situation in which the sheriff’s office said he stabbed another man.

According to the Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston, 42-year-old Freddy Roblero was arrested yesterday morning and charged with assault first degree after law enforcement said he stabbed another man.

Law enforcement was called out just after 9 yesterday morning to a residence on Harristown Road in the Salem/Eli area of Russell County to a report of a stabbing.

The victim, identified by the sheriff’s office as Mario Ochao, was stabbed in the chest area following a dispute involving a small auto accident between the two men, according to reports.

Ochao was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The case remains under investigation by Deputy Bill Greer with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office. He was assisted on scene by the Russell Springs Police Department, Kentucky State Police, Russell County EMS, and the Adair County Sheriff’s Office.
