An Adair County couple has been arrested on child abuse allegations.
According to reports, 20-year-old Jordan Nye and 19-year-old Makenna Wheeler were arrested on charges of criminal abuse second degree of a minor under the age of 12.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation after Sheriff Josh Brockman was contacted by an investigator with Child Protective Services.
The investigation began last month and the child, who was 10 months old, was removed from the parents care while the investigation progressed.
Both Nye and Wheeler were arrested by the Adair County Sheriff’s Office and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
