A Pulaski County man was arrested at the hospital and charged with murder in connection with his wife’s death.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, 78-year-old James L. Brock is charged with murder in connection with the death of his wife, 67-year-old Doris Brock.
Deputies were called out yesterday morning to a house off North Highway 27 in Eubank to a report of two individuals found unresponsive inside the home. Once inside, Doris Brock was declared deceased at the scene, while James Brock was unresponsive but breathing. James was taken to the hospital and treated for a reported drug overdose.
An investigation determined Doris had been shot by a handgun sometime Wednesday while she was in the living room of the home, and detectives were able to determine that James shot her following a verbal altercation.
The investigation is ongoing.
