The Russell County Lady Laker Basketball team will play for a 16th District Championship tonight.
The Lady Lakers will take on the Metcalfe County Lady Hornets beginning at 7 p.m. at Russell County High School.
Russell County is making its first appearance in the 16th District championship since 2021, and last won a district championship in 2020.
This is the 9th straight appearance in the 16th District championship for Metcalfe County, as the Lady Hornets have won the last 3 district titles.
