The Russell County Lady Lakers will begin postseason play tonight, taking on Monroe County in 16th District tournament action.
The 2-seed Lady Lakers will take on the 3-seed Lady Falcons in the second game of tonight’s tournament action at Russell County High School, which is scheduled to start at about 8 p.m.
The first matchup of tonight’s tournament action will see the 1-seed Metcalfe County Lady Hornets take on the 4-seed Clinton County Lady Bulldogs.
In yesterday’s opening round action, the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Cumberland County Lady Panthers to advance.
In a thrilling boys game yesterday, the Metcalfe County Hornets defeated Monroe County with a three at the buzzer to win 68-66. With that win, the Hornets advance to take on the 1-seed Russell County Lakers tomorrow night.
Tomorrow’s matchup between the Lakers and Hornets is set to get underway at about 6 p.m.
