First responders in Casey County are dealing with potentially dangerous issues involving 911 calls.
Casey County’s 911 operations are dispatched through Bluegrass 911 Communications, a regional operation that dispatches for Casey, Lincoln, Garrard, and Mercer counties.
According to reports, first responders have been dealing with multiple issues as of late, including calls that cannot be heard properly and at least five complete system outages over the past 30 days.
First responders in Casey County say these issues could be the difference between life and death for certain calls.
First responders made their concerns know at the most recent Casey County Fiscal Court meeting, where County Judge-Executive and a Bluegrass 911 Communications representative told the first responders they would spend the next 30 days working to try and correct the issues.
