Latest LCDHD Restaurant and Retail Inspections

The following is the latest retail and restaurant inspections report from the Lake Cumberland District Health Department.

Salem Elementary – 99 percent – Walk-in cooler door seals in poor repair and Walk-in cooler freezer door seals in poor repair.

Lake Cumberland State Resort Park – 98 percent – floor grate in rear of food prep area in poor repair, water leaking from three compartment sink, hard to reach areas of floor unclean, and hand sink in poor repair.

Ship Store at Lake Cumberland State Dock – 100 percent

Roses Express – 100 percent

Price Less Foods – 100 percent

Jamestown Elementary – 98 percent – frying pan in poor repair and ice and condensation coming from walk-in cooler compressor.

Russell County High School – 100 percent

Russell County Middle School – 100 percent

Russell Springs Elementary – 96 percent – discoloration of hot water coming from source, hand sink not properly draining, light shields not properly installed and ceiling leaking water onto serving line. 100 percent with all violations corrected on follow-up inspection.

An establishment may pass inspection by having a score between 85 and 100 but critical violations must be corrected within 10 days. Otherwise, violations are expected to be corrected by the next inspection.
