Firefighters in neighboring Adair County were called out to Summit Manor Nursing Home yesterday afternoon.
Firefighters were called out just after 2:00 to what is being reported as a small fire in a light fixture inside one of the resident rooms.
When firefighters arrived, a nursing home employee had extinguished the fire and residents were cleared from the room while firefighters worked to clear the smoke.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
