Russell County Middle School Principal Wayne Ackerman has accepted a new position.
Ackerman will take over as the Superintendent of Clinton County Schools.
Ackerman has previously served as principal at two schools in Russell County, with a combined 17 years between Jamestown Elementary and, most recently, Russell County Middle School.
He is also a former marching band director for Russell County.
