Two people were rescued from a capsized boat below Wolf Creek Dam Sunday morning.
According to Russell County Search and Rescue, two fishermen were on the river Sunday morning at about 7:30 when the boat’s engine lost power and capsized, ejecting both men into the water.
One of the men was able to return to the boat and was able to hold onto the other man until rescuers arrived.
The man in the water was unconscious but breathing, and was transported by EMS for hypothermia.
Both men were wearing life jackets at the time of the incident.
According to Russell County Search and Rescue, both men were released from the hospital Sunday afternoon.
