A Caterpillar Skid Steer reported stolen in Pulaski County was recovered at the Russell County Fairgrounds last night.
According to Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston, a member of the Russell County Jaycees contacted Polston last night and said there was a Skid Steer sitting on the backside of the fairgrounds that looked like one reported missing in Pulaski County.
The Skid Steer had reportedly been stolen late Wednesday night or early yesterday morning from a construction site near the intersection of Highway 80 and Highway 914.
Deputy Gwinn Wooldridge with the sheriff’s office was able to confirm that the Skid Steer at the fairgrounds was in fact stolen.
Deputy Matt Parrish, Russell Springs Police, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Jaycees and the owner of the Skid Steer assisted at the scene.
The investigation into the theft is ongoing.
