Skeletal remains found in Pulaski County; believed to be missing Casey man

Skeletal remains were discovered in Pulaski County last week, according to the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office.

The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office said the remains were found last Wednesday in a remote area of western Pulaski County in a field near Bethlehem Ridge Road.

A farmer was cutting firewood when they discovered the remains.

The coroner’s office said the remains belong to a male and the skeleton was complete, but it’s unclear how long the remains have been there.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office released a statement and said the office believes the remains belong to David “DJ” Whitt, a 20-year-old Casey County man who has been missing since September.

The remains were sent off to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for a proper identification by DNA and dental work.
