The Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department was called out to a residence at 1581 Lakeway Drive Monday night.
According to Russell Springs Fire Chief Bobby Johnson, 12 firefighters were called to the scene just after 9:15 Monday night to reports of a fire in the flue of the house.
Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire and were on scene for about an hour and 20 minutes to ensure the safety of residents.
No injuries were reported from the fire and no damage was reported to the residence.
