KY Fish and Wildlife accepting donations of natural Christmas trees

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife is accepting donations of natural Christmas trees.

From now until January 15, Fish and Wildlife will begin accepting unwanted live Christmas trees for recycling. The donated trees will be used to create brush piles in the lake to improve fish habitat.

The two locations nearest to Russell County are the regional office in Somerset at 135 Realty Lane and Crazy Horse Bait and Tackle at 2422 New Columbia Road in Campbellsville.

Artificial trees will not be accepted and all trees must be free of any decoration.

The last day to drop off a tree is January 15.
