Jamestown Elementary School Principal Diane Blankenship is set to retire at the end of the calendar year, and the school now has an interim principal ready to take over.
Former Russell Springs Elementary Principal Rene Gossage will serve as the school’s interim principal beginning in January until the end of the school year in May.
Gossage served in the Russell County School District for several years, most recently as the principal at Russell Springs Elementary before retiring in June 2022.
The Jamestown Elementary School Site Based Decision Making Council will begin the search for a new principal next month.
