Comer files for reelection to U.S. House seat

Russell County’s representative in the United States House of Representatives has filed for reelection.

James Comer, of Tompkinsville, will seek reelection to his seat as representative for Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District.

Comer, who was first elected to Congress in 2016, represents Russell and other surrounding counties like Adair, Casey, Clinton and Cumberland counties.

As of now, Comer is unopposed for his congressional seat.
