Salem Elementary earns green rating on state report card

Salem Elementary earned a green rating from the state’s latest released data on the Kentucky School Report Card.

A green rating is the second-best rating a school can receive.

Salem Elementary saw an improvement from last year in its reading and math scores, which earned a green rating.

The school also received a blue rating, the highest rating possible, on the science, social studies, and writing assessments.

Salem Elementary students scored proficient and distinguished at a higher rate than state average in all subject categories, including 11 percent higher than state average in science and 10 percent higher in combined writing.
