Russell Springs Elementary earns high marks in state report card

Russell Springs Elementary earned high marks in the new state data released last week.

Russell Springs Elementary earned a blue rating, the highest ranking of the five categories.

Only 185 schools from across Kentucky earned the blue distinction.

Russell Springs Elementary saw increases in each of the subject levels from the previous year.

Overall, Russell Springs Elementary exceeded state averages in the number of students scoring proficient or distinguished in each subject category, including 20 percent above state average in reading, 16 percent above state average in math, 6 percent above state average in science, 23 percent above state average in social studies, and 31 percent above state average in combined writing.
