Governor Andy Beshear was in Columbia this week, announcing funds for neighboring Adair and Clinton counties.
Beshear announced $9.5 million in funds for Adair County. That includes over $625,000 for natural gas lines for local business development as well as Adair County Schools, $7.2 million for Duo Broadband to connect 378 unserved homes and businesses, over $1 million for a water project in Knifley, as well as money for tourism, road resurfacing and economic development.
The governor also presented $130,000 to Clinton County. That includes around $28,000 for tourism, $100,000 for the Foothills Academy, and $6,000 to the Salvation Army.
